While I have been doing the projects for the final unit, I have been exploring perspective in drawing again. Here is a return to drawing a room corner, but this time I have stepped back (I drew the picture below from the doorway entrance looking into the room). This means I can see a slighter wider angle view and get in more of the slanting horizontals and a sense of how these angle around the horizon line. Here is the drawing:

I think if I had added darker tone and more detail to the curtain towards the right of the picture and also the items on the shelf beneath that that might have given more sense of that side being closer to the viewer. Perhaps adding some patterning to the cloth hanging over the shelf might have helped too. Otherwise, that side of the picture appears a bit flat to me.
