Room Corner – 2-point perspective
While I have been doing the projects for the final unit, I have been exploring perspective in drawing again. Here is a return to drawing a room corner, but this time I have stepped back (I drew the picture below from the doorway entrance looking into the room). This means I can see a slighter … Continue reading Room Corner – 2-point perspective
A collage using hand-drawn text
I was a bit worried going into this particular exercise thinking my terrible handwriting would be an obstacle - but I realised that wasn't really going to be an issue . The wrinkles on the forhead are a bit better placed and look more three dimensional than before. The right eye looks a bit … Continue reading Self-portrait: another attempt
Drawing your own hands and feet: Preparation
As a preliminary to doing this exercise I spent a day and half filling two old sketch books with sketches of my hands and feet using different media. I also played about with colour a bit using colour crayons and oil pastels for a few of these studies, but mainly I used pencil, fine liner … Continue reading Drawing your own hands and feet: Preparation
Still Life – 2nd Attempt
I had a second go at the still life exercise, and the drawings I produced this time are shown below along with a photograph of the original still life as a point of contrast. I am a bit happier with these - the bottles look more bottle-like anyway. This time I used black paper taped … Continue reading Still Life – 2nd Attempt
